In this audio package we combine focused attention with gentle guided movement in these self care practices.  

Set aside 5-15 minutes and a little quiet space to lie down for each of these 6 practices.
You can explore them in any order, as often as you like. Not only will be you feel nurtured and cared for in your body, but also your mind and heart.

Body scan as a check-in, observing yourself in your body & in the moment

A body scan enables your to observe yourself in the moment.

We start all lessons with a short body scan. As such, this is a great lesson to start with, getting used to attending yourself in non-judgemental ways, observing sensations in your body.

Get comfy lying on your back for this scan. 

Breathing to quieten and calm yourself.

Our breathing is fundamental to life. It is the most continuous movement throughout life. Our breathing must adapt to the activity at hand, to our emotional state, to our thoughts. 

In this lesson explore ways to expand your breathing as an anchor to quieten and calm yourself. 

Frogging your legs to release body tension.

This lesson is about releasing unnecessary muscular tension around your hip joints and lower back, as a means of increasing general body comfort. 

This is a lesson in lying on your back. 

Pelvic rocking to feel more comfortable and connected throughout your body.

Many people experience back pain at some stage in their life, and this lesson is a great self-care tool for managing this, or more broadly for reducing generalised body tension, so you feel more comfortable and connected in your body.

Lie on you back, with feet standing for this lesson.  

Self hug rolling for self love and care.

I love the idea and experience of giving yourself a big hug, as you do in this lesson. Not only will you feel loved, you will sense release of tension throughout your torso while and as a result, easier breathing. 

Like many of these lessons, you can explore this in lying on your back with feet standing, sitting or even standing. This recording is in lying with feet standing.

Bell hands to calm, quieten and nurture.

This is a lesson that you can do anywhere, any time.  Its so useful and powerful for releasing generalised body tension and quietening a busy mind, calming or settling stress. It’s also very useful for helping sleep. 

We'll explore in lying with feet standing. You will be moving your hand very gently, continuously, in a bell-like shape, in time with your breathing.
